    what a kick-ass comeback!!

  2. ares2444 Says:

Just because society say that Stalin was commuinist doesn’t mean that Stalin lived up to the ideals of commuism.

  3. ares2444 Says:

Oh and for some historical accuracy the millions of dead happened under Stalin. Communism’s doctrine in the communist manifesto wants a global movement of commuism whereas Stalin only wanted commuism in Russia he said it himself (probably a result of his parnoid personality). We can therefore see that Russia under Stalin was not commuist but in fact totalitarian and was closer to Hitler in ideals then he was to Karl Marx.

  4. ares2444 Says:

    horsie111.

facism is infact on the right side of the political spectrum so iran is thus not on the left it is in fact on the right! New Zealand does didn’t actually support the Soviet Union you even here him say it. But that nuclear weapons being a “neccesary evil” were an evil nonetheless.

  5. usaboy17 Says:

    Indeed Peter, very much so.

New Zealand was China’s first official free-trade partnership partner, ties between NZ and a number of strategic Asian countries have been very strong because of America’s defiant position.

As a result, America’s influence in the South Pacific region was being undermined and still is today by the influence of China.
It just goes to show that the US bullying tactics are slowly working against them.

  6. hipeter924 Says:

The anti-nuclear policy was put in place with heavy support across the country, and the reason why the policy is so important is because NZ is the only country in the world that rejects nuclear weapons. Besides NZ didn’t suffer, as a result of the turning away from the USA NZ gained a strong friendship with China and a free trade agreement. The USA is forming a friendship again I think because NZ was falling too much into the Chinese sphere of influence.

  7. ginashina Says:

you might want to look up the definition of fascism, idiot, it is far right. Just like you. I made no reference to atheism, I made mention of fundamentalist right wing christian assholes like you.

  8. usaboy17 Says:

Despite what die-hard fundamentals believe, the US has just announced that all military ties with New Zealand are to be reimplemented immediately – followed by a visit of the Secretary of State, the Hon Hillary Clinton.
This shows that America believes it was out of line for trying to bully NZ into accepting nuclear warheads in our shores. The military ties have been broken since 1985 and it wasn’t until the former Bush administration, when this particular stance was relaxed.
    Great news!

  9. horsie111 Says:

Hey leftwing historically illiterate asshole, Iran is a totalitarian fascist state, thus leftwing. Btw you misspelled atheism as Christianity. (sheeeez….)

  10. ginashina Says:

Hey right wing Christian fundamentalist, interesting how you talk about moral superiority when there are countless millions murdered in the name of Christianity. So easy to make arguments when you ignore what has gone on in your own click. If New Zealand is too left wing for you, why are you still here? Surely somewhere more right wing such as Iran would be better for you?

  11. horsie111 Says:

Lange was on the right-wing of the left…yawn. He was a left-winger who entered a State-initiated policy that sided his country with Soviet tyranny and necessarily alienated the USA-AUS alliance. Popularly, the anti-nuclear policy was nothing more than an irrational appeal to emotion successfully sold as “patriotism” which is why successive governments, such as the pathetic John Key’s, have been unwilling to touch it.
Don Brash notably was on the right track but didn’t succeed electorily.

  12. horsie111 Says:

Zero arguments from a bigoted leftist fool.

Interesting that the ignorati left here defends the Soviet Union – which murdered tens of millions of its own – without even blinking. So easy to claim moral superiority when so utterly, pitifully, pathetically clueless…

  13. ginashina Says:

    how so?

  14. kiwijeza Says:

But i will always call him Sir :)

  15. kiwijeza Says:

He never wanted it , he was to good of a man just your every day kiwi guy

  16. zunk11 Says:

I guess history proved him wrong.

  17. jeremytravers1 Says:

    David Lange wasn’t knighted!

  18. kiwijeza Says:

Good on ya Sir David Lange the last of the great Kiwi leaders RIP , he spoke with so much power man this shows you how NEW ZEALAND was , now after all the work that the past old school GOVTS did is gone now we are ruled by do gooders and weak minded fools

  19. kiwijeza Says:

Should just have joined with Hitler as the west is the down fall of the whole world

  20. ginashina Says:

At last the true nature of the militant right wing christian fundamentalist shows through.

  21. usaboy17 Says:

    horsie111,

Future tip: In your next wild debate, make sure you’re armed with all the required information before you attempt to throw empty rhetoric out in your supposed favour.
You didn’t know much about New Zealand’s political state at the time, you haven’t read much on David Lange as a PM and you didn’t know much about the ANZUS treaty – fundamental protocols of this discussion.

    Shame on you!

  22. usaboy17 Says:

The anti-nuke movement as you call it, was indeed implemented by a some-what Socialist administration (Lange was often considered Conservative) but what you fail to identify here is the amount of Constituent support for this movement.
Eventually a wide-range majority were in favour of retaining the policy for the long term hence the reason why it remains policy today.

The only one failing here is you and the fowl language is only further proof of that.

  23. usaboy17 Says:

Oh wow, we have an assumption: According to horsie111 I am as liberal as they come…

Sadly, blatantly untrue. On any political spectrum I am often rated a traditional Conservative, and in Britain I favour the more Conservative political parties.
Again, NZ Labour is rather centralist – Lange was considered a natural Conservative on the economy but also on a number of Social issues too. Have you read his biography? As well as other political cometary and summary on the man as Prime Minister?

  24. horsie111 Says:

Given the support that an obvious leftist stooge like you has for opposition to the utterly unnecessary arms race instigated by the Stalinist USSR (=a first world military and nuclear stockpile yet while its people queued for hours for bread and toilet paper), it’s no wonder you’re pissed that Reagan and Thatcher brought it all to an end.

Fuck off with your false moral equivalency. You already lost tosser.

  25. horsie111 Says:

The anti-nuke movement was dominated and defined by leftwing intellectuals and their useful idiots.

To say that the policy is any way non-leftist given its extreme popularity with the international left; its supporters’ funding by the Soviet Union; and its opposition from Reagan/Thatcher, is simply ridiculous on your part.

It’s pure leftist policy from the Cold War 80s, which is precisely why you love it so much.

Why can’t you lying leftist scum just tell the truth?
