Leaving Ireland for Oxford
Máire mcsorley has kindly granted permission for us to feature a short extract from her documentary Celebrating 50 Years of the GAA in Oxford. We choose the story of two women who emigrated from Ireland in the 60’s to a new life in Oxford. See more off Máire mcsorley’s work here: www.youtube.com We invite you to listen to our interview on Womens Radio where we discuss the work we do in the Wyllie O Hagan St Patrick’s Day Film Festival. As God is my witness… in the next life, I’m going to be a documentary film maker in England and Ireland… and yes God, I still want six-pack abs, a nose that will allow me to drink out of champagne slips (is that the right word?)…. and some winning lottery number.
Oh yes, and whirled peas for all.
