After a record unbeaten run of 74 games, the quiz goliaths were finally toppled by five students from Oxford Brookes University. This episode of the popular TV quiz first aired on BBC2 on September 28th, 2007.

I know what you mean but I was just on the show last week and the producers do stress to all the contestants that they should pad out their answers with as much chat as possible. So its not really a case of him trying to show off.

That death penalty one was pretty impressive, despite the fact that they were wrong, but really, that they just immediately said “Texas, Florida, Southern ones” That really impressed me… And their reactions to the real answer kind of depressed me… Everyone in the rest of the world thinks it’s barbaric (So do I…) But no one really practises it here, I guess.

Judith had a lot of luck when she won a million on WWTBAM. I mean she only knew the answer to the last question because she’d recently visited the person in question’s grave.
Judith isn’t stupid compared to your regular member of society but compared to other people who go on quiz shows,she is.
It’s quite embarrassing that she’s always the last to be picked on “Are You An Egghead” and she’s probably lost more head to heads on the regular show than all the other eggheads put together.

Does anyone know if Eggheads had a different format when it first started?
I’m talking about a different format to the one it’s had for at least the last 4 or 5 years,not that there used to be 5 Eggheads but now there are 6 and soon to be 7.
On another point. What must the others think of Judith? I’m sure they like her as a person but they all know so much more than her that I can’t help but think that they look down on her slightly.
She seems really stupid compared to them.

I remember watching this live on TV. The eggheads got beaten for the first time this year in all five rounds in the same show. They also lost 4 games in a row (November 2009).
